Hi! My name is Ms. Holthaus and I am excited to be your teacher for the 2024-2025 school year! This is my eighth year teaching fifth grade at Joppatowne Elementary. Before that I was a long term substitute at JOES and some other schools in Harford County. I live with my boyfriend and our pet turtles and our amazing dog, Koga. When I am not working hard at being a teacher I enjoy learning about astrology, being outside in nature, and learning graphic design!
I graduated from Towson University with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education in 2016. Before that I attended Harford Community College and Morgan State University. I was even on their dance and step team! I also hail from Harford County Public Schools having attended both Edgewood Middle and High School and Abingdon Elementary. I am also currently in school at Goucher College to get my masters degree!
